It is traditional to spend your change on tickets in the meat tray raffle in support of some local football team. It is just part of going to the pub on Friday night after work. But when the seafood tray is the object, motivations change. Tickets are held tighter, other are evaluated as foes. Tensions rise. It gives you the rush of the gambler, and mine is was reinforced tonight when lucky 65 came up and I became the proud new owner of 2 big crabs, 12 Balmain Bugs, 2 doz Oysters and a kilo of prawns.
Kirsten and I have now eaten all of the bugs and oysters, half of a crab, and some oft the prawns. Never let me see seafood again. Soo… full…
